A winding walkway sleeps
Along the tracks of carved stone;
Time stops, water flows…
In this valley, almost alone.

The ridges traced
By the sun’s radiant rays
The vocal silence
Overridden by the singing
Of nocturnal creatures awakening.

And in this place,
It’s easy to forget
City life’s residue
And all the things we ought to do.

In the darkness stars are in billions –
The sky flaunts its composition,
Echoes in the Gorge nearby,
This shared moment, seeing eye to eye.

Jumps into cool waters of the lagoon,
Along the smooth undulations of rock
Framed by the cliffs and appearing moon –
All this epic beauty, calling us back.
